Teabury Grave
In Roan Mountain, Tennessee; on an old stretch of road called Teabury, sits a lonely, unnamed gravestone. It is anybody's guess who really lies in this grave, but according to some local hearsay it is the grave of a woman who was accused and killed for being a witch. It has been said that the grave was filled with cement all the way down to where the body lies (when I examined the cement slab, it looked as if this may indeed have been the case). The feelings when one visits this place are very dismal. There is a sense of forebodings and the strong sense that you are being watched. There have been tales of odd happenings after having visited this grave, but it has been so long since I have heard the stories I cannot remember them - so therefore, the stories cannot be substantiated.
