Morgan Branch Cemetery

Word has it that this cemetery is so old and crowded that bodies are buried upon bodies.  Looking at the picture below you can tell that a lot of the gravestones are heavily worn from age.  It is possible this cemetery goes back to the 1700's.  Our EMF meter did not detect any high readings, however an orb did show up on a couple of pictures.  In this graveyard people have heard voices and seen with there own eyes mysterious orbs of light float from one tombstone to another.  

Back in the 1970's, Jeff and his entire family witnessed for themselves the voices and ghost lights for themselves, including the voice of his deceased grandfather.  Since that time however, there has been very little activity.

 Morgan Branch Cemetery can be easily seen from Jeff's mother's house where she owns land with plenty of woods and acreage. At one spot in the middle of the woods is a field.  It is a place we used to play as kids and has always spooked me.  We had an idea to take the EMF meter and check out the old  field.  The EMF meter as well as our feelings brought us to a far corner on the edge of the woods.  Jeff had the EMF, I had the digital camera.  Suddenly the EMF jumped significantly and Jeff told me to snap a picture.  This below photo is frame #26, the exact frame snapped at the time the EMF jumped. 

Looking in the left hand side of the photograph, you can see a red dot.  Something I have yet to mention is that Dorshia and I kept seeing something red flash at the edge of the woods at different times in different places.. It was a small light, kind of like a "pen light".  Unfortunately, Jeff did not see this. The picture in the middle is a blown up enhancement of the "subject" from Photo #26.  Look at what appears to be two glowing red eyes.

The red eyes remind me of the stories told in Mount Pleasant, West Virginia back in the late 1960's about a mysterious red-eyed creature that was reported by many reliable eyewitnesses.  It was dubbed the name "Mothman".  A book called The Mothman Prophecies was released that documented the eerie accounts that accompanied the sightings.

I have thought long and hard about this picture and the logical conclusion is that what we photographed was a kind of animal with its eyes being reflected by the flash.  However, if it was an animal, why did we not hear any ruffling of tree branches or walking through the grass?  I do not believe the moonlight was bright enough to cause the eyes of an animal to reflect and resemble the "red dots" that Dorshia and I had seen prior to the taking of the picture.  Also the red dots that we saw where sometimes has high as maybe 15 or 20 feet in the air.  One more thing that is puzzling is if this was in fact an animal of some kind, why did the EMF seem to detect it like it did.  Anyway, we had strong feelings not to approach the edge of the woods any further, needless to say we followed our intuition and turned back.
